devine farmsDevine Farms is a working farm on the historic National Road. The farm produces field corn, soybeans, wheat and pumpkins. Straw bales and squirrel corn are available year-round. Before and after autumn season, straw and corn is on the porch of Building One. If a large quantity is desired, please call ahead so it will be ready. Squirrel corn is $4.50 for a 10 lb. bag; Straw bale pricing is 1 to 5 bales - $4 each; 6 to 10 bales - $3.75 each; 11 to 50 bales - $3.50 each and 50 or more - $3.25 each. Each fall, the farm features its Pumpkin Festival. Weekend fun begins late September and every weekend before Beggar's Night. Visitors can enjoy pumpkins, wagon rides, the Barrel Train Ride, a corn maze, pumpkin painting, a concession stand and more. Five buildings house activities, so rain or shine, the fun continues. Free parking and no admission fee; many activities are $1. Fall hours are Sat. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Group visits may be arranged Monday through Friday, or just stop by the farm to shop.
