Steinke’s Bee World apiary is open for tours during the month of August; the retail store is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily and closed January through March 15.

Located in Wapakoneta in Auglaize County, Steinke’s Bee World offers visitors a look at 200 beehives and a demonstration of honey extraction. The tour lasts approximately 45 minutes and is free. Owner Don Steinke leads the tours himself.

The retail store sells 100 percent pure honey as well as beeswax candles, soap and lip balm made from Steinke’s honey and beeswax. Craft items also are for sale.
