1 pound Bob Evans Italian Sausage Roll
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce or pizza sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1/4 teaspoon dried basil leaves
8 English muffins or 1 pound loaf Italian bread, cut into 1-inch slices
3 cups (12 ounces) shredded Cheddar or mozzarella cheese or a combination
1 can (4 ounces) mushroom stems and pieces, drained
6 to 8 pimento-stuffed green olives, sliced
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Crumble sausage into medium skillet. Cook over medium heat until lightly browned, stirring occasionally. Drain on paper towels; set aside. Combine tomato sauce and seasonings in small bowl; spread evenly on muffins. Layer 2/3 of cheese on top of sauce. Layer sausage, mushrooms and olives evenly over cheese. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until bubbly. Serve hot. Refrigerate leftovers.
