turnipsNutrition Good source of potassium. Turnip greens are a good source of vitamin A. a 3-1/2 oz raw portion yields 30 calories. Choose young, small bulbs as they are most tender. Overgrown ones are sharp in flavor and tough and woody in texture. Store turnips in vegetable crisper where it is cool and moist. If necessary, cut off tops.
